Reach America Radio provides a refreshing new twist on the normal Christian talk radio program. Unafraid to step into the realms of politics, government, and social issues, Reach America Radio’s aim is to “bring Christ and Christ-centered solutions to our community, state and country.” The answer to the American cultural dilemma isn’t in only electing the right people. Our desire is to encourage and equip believers in Christ to engage in and help change the culture. Gary and “The Gang” are committed to bringing sound Biblical solutions to our broken American culture.
Meet The Gang
Gary Brown is the Founder of Reach America and fearlessly leads our
lively discussion. Gary brings common sense, sound Biblical solutions, andlots ofhumor to our broadcasts. Gary and his wife, Cindy, have two grown children. They are members at Kingston Baptist Church in Kingston, Idaho, where Gary also serves as pastor.
Micah Agnew joined the show in September. He is the youth pastor at
Pleasant View Church in Post Falls and participated in last summer’s Camp Leadership. Micah has a heart to reach the young people of this area and serves as a mentor at the Coeur D Alene Kroc Center as well as to our students at Reach America. He and his lovely bride, Michelle, are the parents of a four year old son and welcomed a new daughter into their family in late summer of 2011.
Becky Funk is our producer as well as co-host. A Texas native, Becky quit her job in Spring of 2011 to stay home and bake cookies, but God had other
plans. Her passion is to see our youth transformed into leaders who are centered in The Gospel and not afraid to stand up for the Truth while engaging the culture. She and her best friend, Terry, have been married 18 years and are the parents of two teen-agers. Becky and Terry lead the Reach America students in True U, a Christian worldview series for students, every Sunday at 6PM at the Reach America house. They are members at Candlelight Christan Fellowship in Coeur d’ Alene.
If you’re tired of hearing how bad things are in America and want to be part of the solution, join us every Tuesday on Let’s Reach America!
We believe Christ can bring America back through us! Do you?
What We’re talking about!
Our goal the past couple of weeks has been to make our listeners aware of the importance of being salt and light in the community. Obviously we need to be a reflection a Christ to everyone we meet. We need to be willing a prepared to share the gospel at every opportunity. We also need to be informed citizens who seek to elect godly lawmakers. We do this by learning about the candidates and making our voices heard. Of course we do this in a kind, loving, and Christ-like manner.
The National Day of Prayer is this Thursday, May 3, 2012, at noon. The residents of Kootenai County will meet in front of City Hall, downtown Coeur d’Alene. This is a time for all of us who profess Christ as our Lord and Savior to gather for a time of prayer for leaders, community, and country. Come join us as we humble ourselves before God and seek His face!
